The wake field becomes more complex when the pantograph shroud is installed, as shown in Figure 2(b) and (c). Two vortices are generated on both sides of the pantograph shroud in case 2 and detach quickly from the shroud surface and extend to the wake field. These four vortices are steady and can make the wake field more disordered. The pantograph shroud in case 2 compresses the air and increases the speed of the air through the pantograph, so that the strength of eddies detaching from the shroud surface will increase a lot.
