Wagner Zusammenfassung: In diesem Beitrag dienen praktische Erfahrungen von Produktmanagern betreffend das Verhältnis von Marktführer und Zweitmarke auf Konsumgütermärkten als Grundlage für die Konstruktion eines Formalmodells, welches anschließend statistisch getestet wird. Die Untersuchungen zeigen, daß der Marktführer gewisse Vorteile im Verhältnis zur jeweiligen Zweitmarke realisieren kann, wobei diese mit der Marktflihrerschaft, aber auch mit dem Markenimage in Zusammenhang stehen können.
B/C und CjB. c) Marke B weist gegenüber C einen statistisch signifikanten Marktftihrervorteil,jedoch keinen Markenvorteil auf.
